Tubesheet & Baffles Products:
Qinxin is highly experienced in the manufacture of critical, internal heat exchanger tubesheets. These are manufactured in-house up to 5,000 mm diameter. Baffles have generally a thickness between 10mm to 20mm and they are usually machined in stacks of 2 to 5 plates, making the drilling operation more complex.
Tubesheet:
1. Outside Diameter: Maximum Ø5000MM for Tubesheet (Tube Plate)
2. Thickness: Maximum 750MM
3. Tube Hole Diameter: Maximum Ø120MM
4. Material: Carbon, Stainless, Duplex, Aluminum Bronze, Copper Alloys, Naval Brass, Copper Nickel, Pure Copper Super Duplex,Ni-Alloys, Cladding material, Exotic materials,
and others as sought.
5. Typical Hole Patterns: The most common types of holes experienced in tube sheet drilling are triangular, rotated triangular, square and rotated square. Each hole pattern
presents its own drilling challenges. See typical pattern types below.
Note: Tubesheets are a critical component of the final design. There are a multitude of materials they can be manufactured from. Material selection is made after careful
consideration as it is in contact with both fluids. It must therefore have the necessary corrosion resistance, electromechanical and metallurgical properties associated for its
given working environment.
Baffles:
The baffles are thin plates positioned for the entire length of the tube bundle. They have two primary functions:
1) Sustain the tube bundles;
2) Increase the heat-transfer by changing the flow of the fluid and generating turbulence
Baffle Drilling
Baffles are generally drilled in stacks from 2 - 5 plates
Single plate thickness vary from 10mm - 20mm
Welding the plates together can increase stability
